With more than 20 years of experience in the legal fraternity, Ayasamy Velu, the principal partner and founder of Messrs V.Samy & Co. (now known as V.Samy Renu & Co.), established the firm in 1998.

Messrs V.Samy Renu & Co. is not an ordinary litigation firm because we litigate in almost all areas of law with great care and skill. No matter how complex the case is, our primary objective is to ensure and draw up a legal strategy to benefit our client. The pragmatic and result-driven approach of our lawyers have contributed to the growth of our establishment known for its unique and uncompromising standard of work.

In its early years, its founder Ayasamy Velu, focused mainly in the Criminal Litigation practice where he rose rapidly to eminence as one of the leading Criminal Defence counsel in Malaysia. The firm continues to mark its name in the Criminal litigation practice, primarily in Criminal Law and Human Rights which also includes Quasi Criminal matters.

There was a shift in paradigm in the year 2009, when Renuka Devi Krishnasamy joined the firm as a partner and from its Criminal practice, the firm thereon developed in many areas of practice. At present, the firm has developed a strong standing in civil litigation practice led by Ms. Renuka Devi Krishnasamy. The firm’s civil litigation department is recognized in handling civil litigation matters to mention a few on the areas of Divorce matters, Family Law, Adoption, Custody, Employment, Labor Law, Accident, Insurance Claims, Debt Recovery and Land law.

The firm is passionate in upholding justice and fairness. Thus, the firm believes that delivering access to justice, is a fundamental right that needs to be cultured by reaching to those in need.
